A new study published in the journal Energy Policy says that we could achieve 100 percent renewable energy by 2030, and not just U.S., but the world. The study says that we have access to all the necessary technology, but strong political would have to exist for it to happen.

Space-Based Solar Power Wireless Power Transmission Breakthrough

A landmark in space based solar power will be announced today, long-distance, solar-powered wireless power transmission.
John C. Mankins, former manager of NASA's Exploration Systems Research and Technology Program, will announce the success of a transmission project in Hawaii. In the test, wireless power transmission between two Hawaiian Islands 148 kilometers apart – more than twice distance from Earth to space – was successful.
The project will be featured in an hour long special on Discovery Project Earth on the Discovery Channel on ambitious geo-engineering ideas to fight global warming.
In space based solar power, large satellites would collect solar energy and beam it down to Earth.

Putting Canada on Track

Will Renewables Trump Nuclear in Ontario?

Just a short Bio-diesel ride to the electric subway. I don't think they're Bullfrog Powered though. Maybe I can lobby them. HA!
This saving is actually going to allow me to cover the cost of Bullfrog and the carbon offset. Kewl eh!

The next big thing on my agenda is to purchase carbon credits to offset the rest of my emmisions.

UK Launches New Blueprint for Renewables

The UK government has set out a national renewable energy blueprint designed to slash carbon emissions and reduce dependency on oil and gas. Quebec pushes wind power

MONTREAL — Hydro-Québec has accepted 15 bids from companies offering to provide the provincial utility with a total of 2,004 megawatts of wind-generated electricity that would come on stream between 2011 and 2015 if final approvals are reached. US Researchers Hope to Tap Ocean Flows for Electricity

Researchers in the United States are set to begin testing underwater turbine systems that can produce electricity from ocean water flows.
The same energy that drives ocean waves and currents may be a rich source of electrical power. Researchers in Florida say even gentle flows of two or three knots are enough to drive a propeller attached to an underwater turbine. New Ohio Law Expected to Spawn 5,000-7,000 MW Wind Market

Costa Rica Is 99% Powered By Renewable Energy

Costa Rica is a country rich with renewable energy.
